NHL Announces that the Chicago Blackhawks Will Take Part In Yet Another Winter Classic in 2025
The Chicago Blackhawks are set to play against the St.Louis Blues for the Winter Classic game of 2025.
Per Ben Pope:
"BREAKING: Blackhawks will host the Winter Classic next season at Wrigley Field against the Blues, a source tells the Sun-Times."
As of now, the Blackhawks have taken part in four outdoor games, leading the league alongside the Boston Bruins as other NHL teams continue to wait to have their first.
According to the report, the NHL should make the official announcement tomorrow, confirming the teams that'll be a part of the event.
NHL Looking to Showcase Connor Bedard? His Popularity Could Make the Event Even More Attractive to Fans
Less people watched the last outdoor game, in January, between the Golden Knights and the Kraken, than Bedard's first NHL game in October.
It looks like Bettman made the connection and decided to display the star of the moment in the NHL as much as possible. That could explain why we'll see the Blackhawks once again on the big outdoor stage.
