Ever since the trade on February 14th between the Montreal Canadiens and the Calgary flames with saw Tyler Toffoli traded from Montreal Canadiens to Calgary Flames for Tyler Pitlick, Emil Heineman, conditional round 1 pick in the 2022 draft and round 5 pick in the 2023 draft, the trade front has been very quiet.

On February 19th the Leafs traded Nick Ritchie and 2nd round pick to the Arizona Coyotes for Ryan Dzingel & Ilya Lyubushkin.

There have been a few more trades for future considerations made, but nothing blockbuster worthy and according to this insider, things have been very quiet.

With huge names like Fleury, Giroux, Chychrun, Kessel, Chiarot, Manson, Rakell, Giordano, DeBrusk, Hertl, Hagel, Domi, Boeser, Lindholm, Miller and many others rumoured to all be available, this had the potential to be one of the best trade deadlines in awhile. If no trades end up happening, the fans will be very disappointed this year.
