On February 19th the Leafs traded Nick Ritchie and 2nd round pick to the Arizona Coyotes for Ryan Dzingel & Ilya Lyubushkin.
There have been a few more trades for future considerations made, but nothing blockbuster worthy and according to this insider, things have been very quiet.
Some concerning news for #TradeCentre host @tsnjamesduthie courtesy of a NHL executive referencing the amount of activity ahead of the March 21 trade deadline:
"Quiet. Extremely quiet. Scary how quiet it is. No one wants to commit." Chris Johnston (@reporterchris) March 10, 2022
With huge names like Fleury, Giroux, Chychrun, Kessel, Chiarot, Manson, Rakell, Giordano, DeBrusk, Hertl, Hagel, Domi, Boeser, Lindholm, Miller and many others rumoured to all be available, this had the potential to be one of the best trade deadlines in awhile. If no trades end up happening, the fans will be very disappointed this year.
