On most nights, if you ask anyone in the NHL, they would express their uncertainty about what constitutes goalie interference and what does not.
However, after the call made in tonight's game, it appears that the definition may be more unclear than ever.
During the first period of the game between the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators,
Brent Burns scored a goal that most people believed would be disallowed immediately.
It seems that Jarvis did not make much of an effort to exit the goal area, as Cam Talbot struggled to make a save. As a result, Burns was able to score the opening goal of the game.
