The Toronto Maple Leafs have not been quite the team we've seen these past few seasons. While Auston Matthews did score yesterday and Marner did get an assist, they have not been the dynamic duo we have seen these past two seasons.
Head coach Sheldon Keefe has been reluctant to separate the two this season, but after blowing a 3-1 lead against the Ducks last night, he had finally had enough and replaced Marner with Malgin on the top line.
This did not sit well with Marner who was absolutely pissed. At the television timeout, Marner grabbed his stick, broke it and went down the tunnel to the dressing room.
Something is definitely going to happen soon in Leafs Nation, whether that be some trades or a coaching change, but it's obvious that things are just not clicking in Toronto right now.
