The Chicago Blackhawks have been without one of their top off-season acquisitions for some time now, but now, there's optimism his return is coming very, very soon.
When the Blackhawks landed the No. 1 overall pick and
Connor Bedard, they quickly went to work getting him some veteran teammates, and none were bigger or better than former Hart Trophy winner
Taylor Hall.
Unfortunately, the 31-year old veteran has played in just five of the teams nine games this season due to a shoulder issue, but now, there's optimism that his return is imminent.
Hall has been skating with the team for a number of days now, and when asked about his return, he revealed that Saturday is the likeliest time, but won't guarantee that.
Taylor Hall said there's a "good chance" he plays on Saturday vs. Florida, but he didn't want to say for sure until talking to the training staff.
They want to be extra cautious with this weekend being a back-to-back.
While Hall has just 2 assists in his five games, he's a good veteran influence on the young Bedard, and with the No. 1 overall pick's improvements thus far, bringing back Hall will only help to elevate his play and the play of the entire team.
