Hossa will be participating in a 'Goodbye Game', in his native country of Slovakia in what will be his final hockey game ever.
Hossa retired from hockey in April of 2017 due to an allergy to his equipment, and never played in the NHL again.
Joining Hossa in this game is an extremely high-caliber lineup featuring a ton of hockey royalty.
Included in the festivities are: Nicklas Lidstrom, Zdeno Chara, Dustin Byfuglien, Nicklas Hjalmarsson, Martin Havlat, Patrick Sharp, Marian Gaborik, Tomas Kopecky, Daniel Alfredsson, Michal Handzus, Miroslav Satan, Michal Rozsival, as well as former Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews.
The game will be held August 18th in Trencin and all proceeds from the game will go to Marian Hossa's charity organization HOSS Heroes.
Now that will be an excellent game to play in.
The now 44 year old Hossa had a remarkable career that led him being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020.
Hossa played for 19 season with the Ottawa Senators, Atlanta Thrashers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.
He was a part of three Stanley Cup wins during his time in Chicago.
This event will be a fitting way to wrap up one of the most underrated players of all-times hockey story.
