The Calgary Flames were hosting the Edmonton Oilers as these two Canadian teams are hoping to continue their journeys to the Stanley Cup. This was also the first time the battle of Alberta has happened in the playoffs in 32 years. Matthew Tkachuk had a great series vs the Dallas Stars and was hoping to continue that with his Family in attendance which included his mom, dad and brother Brady.
Tkachuk would get in a few scrums and was playing well but didn't get into the scoring until midway through the second period, Tkachuk scored a power-play goal to give the Flames a 6-2 lead which many would think this one was over but you'd be wrong.
Tkachuk would also have the savage moment in the game, everyone knows Evander Kane's past with bankruptcy, the generous Flames forward would ask Kane straight up if "he's needs some money." Kane didn't appreciate the offer clearly.
The funny part is with all the happy Calgary Flames fans throwing their hats on the ice in support of Tkachuk scoring the hat trick, being just the sixth Flame in Franchise history to do so, Tkachuk's own father, NHL Legend Keith Tkachuk wouldn't throw his even when his wife and son Brady were heckling him to do so.
