Legendary Bruins Forward Finally Announces Official Retirement From Hockey

It has been reported today that the 37-year-old former Bruin announced his retirement from hockey altogether. He has already not been playing in any league this year, but he was training for the upcoming 2024 IIHF World Championships with the hope of representing Czechia one last time on the international stage. However, injuries apparently derailed his training and he has since decided to hang up the skates for good.

The Krejci era in Boston has technically been over since the end of last season, but some fans held onto hope that he might decide to come back and rejoin the team once again. He had already done so once after he took a season off to play in Czechia during the 2021-22 season. Now there is no hope that he will ever return.
