Last nights game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning got a little out of hand in the third period, but Kyle Clifford was not there to see it. Clifford was instead kicked out in the first period for a dirty hit from behind on Lightning's Ross Colton, which got him kicked out for a boarding major.
NHL Insider Nick Kypreos announced that Clifford has a meeting with the NHL Department of Player Safety today which will likely end with a suspension.
Having been kicked out of the game so early, that will play into the suspension length as he technically missed a game. So I would predict a 1 game, max 2 game suspension for Clifford.
