Jon Cooper got emotional and left the post game interview refusing to answer questions
NHL media rules are put in place that require coaches to be available to them after every game, but the loophole is it does not state for how long.
Last night Jon Cooper went to the podium, gave one single statement and then left.
My heart breaks for the players, because we probably still should be playing.
Last night the Colorado Avalanche saw the return of star center Nazem Kadri who gave them a huge boost in Overtime scoring the game winning goal to give them a 3-1 series lead over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Cooper was asked about the overtime goal and that was the only question he answered before leaving:
You're going to see what I mean when you see the winning goal.
«I'm gonna have to speak tomorrow You're gonna see what I mean when you see the winning goal. My heart breaks for the players because we probably should still be playing»
