Insider Proposes Blockbuster Trade That Would Send Trevor Zegras to Canada
Zegras Could Have Already Played His Last Game with the Ducks
Pat Verbeek, the general manager of the Anaheim Ducks, seems to be missing something when he looks at Trevor Zegras on the ice. He doesn't seem to see how valuable he is to any franchise with big aspirations.
It was reported that Verbeek only offered a deal in the range of $3-4M AAV. Of course, he hasn't accepted.
Zegras is one of the NHL's most popular players. No one can deny the influence and the wind of change he brings to the league. With that comes a price.

This could force him out of Anaheim, unfortunately for Ducks fans.
If not by offer sheet, a trade for his rights could be on the horizon.
Matt Murley of Spittin' Chiclets suggested that Zegras could be traded to a top Canadian team, with the right market for a player of his style.
Zegras to be Traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Blockbuster Deal Involving Nylander?
According to Murley, the Leafs could be a great destination for Zegras and his unique style.
The Leafs don't have the money to give him an offer sheet, but a trade for his rights could be the way it happens.
If Brad Treliving manages to make it happen, we can only imagine that William Nylander will be involved.
