Unfortunately for the Hurricanes who are already missing their starting goaltender Freddy Andersen for the remainder of the year and Antti Raanta now was forced to leave the game with injury.
The Hurricanes would have to call on their 3rd goaltender in 22 year old Pyotr Kochetkov, the Hurricanes 2019 draft pick who was outstanding in his first NHL playoff game of his career, making 30 saves in a 5-2 Hurricanes win.
