A sad story out of the hockey world as a 24-year old hockey player from Russia has been found dead. The 24-year old was killed by a tenant and his body was located by his brother and fiance, who arrived at this apartment after he'd stopped answering his phone. Upon entering the apartment the two located the body of the deceased in a pool of blood. Next to the pool of blood lied the murder weapon, an axe.
The 24-year old victim and his fiance had just yesterday begun sending out invitations to their wedding that was to be held later this year.
The murdered landlord played for Nizhnekamsk in the MHL as well as for three Belarusian teams. Beginning in April of last year he began working as a real estate agent for a realtor agency.
The man who committed the murder is known to police and had a previous infraction against the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for drug trafficking. On the day of the crime the suspect had been informed that the building was going to be sold and he would have to vacate the premises. An argument ensued, which led to the realtor being struck multiple times with the axe.
This is a very sad story and a life tragically cut short.
