Since retiring from professional hockey, Jansen has launched his own podcast with Andy Strickland, where he shares fascinating tales from his time in the NHL and offers a glimpse into life behind the scenes.
On the most recent episode of the show, Jansen and Strickland welcomed former NHL enforcer Steve MacIntyre as their guest. MacIntyre played for three different teams over a five-year span, dressing for a total of 91 games.
While he only scored two goals and two assists during that time, his real contribution was keeping other players honest. Known as "Big Mac," he accumulated 175 penalty minutes in those 91 games despite averaging just 3 minutes and 26 seconds of ice time per night.
During the podcast, Jansen recounted a night when he and Reaves were lined up next to each other, and MacIntyre approached them with a foreboding message.
