Tonight chaos broke loose when a Philadelphia Flyers defenseman was assessed a misconduct penalty that he did not agree with.

Heavyweight Scrap Breaks Out In Flyers And Red Wings Game

During the second period of a contest between the Flyers and Detroit Red Wings a scrap broke out. Red Wings forward Christian Fischer hit Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler along the boards. Seeler did not like the hit and went after Fischer. The two players engaged in a quick fight and were off to the box.

The referees decided on penalties shortly after.

Christian Fischer was given two minutes for hooking. Nick Seeler on the other hand was given two minutes for instigating, a five-minute major for fighting, and a ten-minute misconduct.

The lopsided nature of the penalties led Nick Seeler to be irate at the officials. He was so upset he decided to come out of the box and argue with the referees. It was at this point that Seeler was ejected from the game.

Emotions are HIGH in HockeyTown!

Seeler's actions led him to be ejected from the game. His blatant aggression toward officials could see him get a hefty fine or suspension from the NHL. As more information becomes available we will provide updates to you.
