Fans have voted and the NHL's most ANNOYING FANBASE is ....

As a sports fan, you tend to get very personal and emotional about your favourite team. You get even more emotional when talking about your most hated team. Every team has a rival or two, and when your teams clash you cheer for blood.

In a recent poll taken by JFreshHockey on Twitter, more than 6500 people voted on which fan base they thought was the worst out of all 32 teams in the NHL.

According to these 6500 people, the Toronto Maple Leafs are considered the most annoying fan base. The New York Rangers and Montreal Canadiens came up second and third behind the Leafs.

More than 6,500 of you answered the fanbase survey. Here are the results.

It does not surprise this writer that the Maple Leafs finished in the top seed. Fans have had to listen to Maple Leaf fans say for years ''this is our year'' which has gotten quite annoying, but also hilarious when we want them lose in the first round year after year.

Rangers fans just simply believe the Rangers are the best team in the whole world, regardless of where they land in the standings.

Then there is Montreal. Who's entire fanbase of chirps start and send with "24 Stanley Cups." We get it, you won a lot when there was 6 teams in the league, congratulations.
