Patrick Kane was drafted 1st overall back in 2007, and since then he has spent his entire career with the Chicago Blackhawks. Unfortunately though, over the next year, we could see Kane in another teams uniform.

When Kyle Davidson took over as General Manager of the Blackhawks, he took the team in a new direction into a rebuild and with Kane still producing at an elite pace, it is not in his interests nor the teams for Kane to remain a Blackhawk.

For many years now the Buffalo sabres have been one of the most dissapointing team in the NHL, and after trading away franchise center Jack Eichel last season, the team is entering yet another rebuild, but this time they seem to be doing it the right way.

The team is mow loaded with prospects and draft picks, and Sabres General Manager Kevyn Adams intends on trying to bring a superstar hometown player into the lineup come the start of the 2023 season.

That player being, you guessed it, Patrick Kane. The Sabres have made it know that they do not intend on trying to trade for Kane, which is smart considering even with Kane the Sabres will not be a cup contending team, and with the prized Jewel of Conor Bedard in next years draft, it would be smart of the Sabres to not speed up a rebuild. Instead, they will simply wait until Kane is a free agent after next season and take a run at him in free agency.
