It was announced late last night that Bobby Ryan was arrested for Public Intoxication at a Nashville Airport.

We know in the past that Bobby has had some problems with Alcohol and joined the NHL Player Assistance Program for his addiction. We can still remember his comeback came with the Ottawa Senators, in which he scored a hat-trick in his first game back. It brought tears to every hockey fans eyes, including his own.

When Bobby was arrested last night, the Nashville Police had this to report:

He was not compliant with them, was extremely intoxicated, and did not know where he was, the date, or the time, and could not stand on his own. The store declined prosecution on the recovered items, and Ryan was jailed for public intoxication.

Bobby was released from Police Custody, and today he made this announcement via Twitter:

I've had so many incredible messages today. Thank you for all of them. Today is day 1 (again). Mostly embarrassed, but I shouldn't be. Today I'm waking up and choosing better.

Bobby we are proud of you for addressing this, and we hope you get all the help you need on your journey. We at House of Hockey wish you nothing but the best!

We miss seeing you play.
