We've seen over the years, the lack of consistency in NHL reffing, coaches challenges and many other things in the National Hockey League, but this goal may just top the cake.
The Avalanche looked to have scored to give them a 3-2 lead but Oilers challenged the play for offside and it looked for sure like it was coming back. Valeri Nichushkin is still in the Oilers zone and is clearly offside when Cale Makar takes the puck over the line.
This goal somehow counted and it is mind boggling, you see for yourself and let us know what you think!
