Connor McDavid calls teammates out after embarrassing OT loss

In a pivotal game 5 with the series tied 2-2 in the best of 7 series, the Oilers lost a heart-breaker in overtime to the LA Kings, and are now facing elimination in game 6.

Despite erasing a 2 goal deficit in the 3rd period and forcing OT, the Oil ultimately lost when Adrian Kempe scored the game-winner for the Los Angeles Kings just 1:12 into extra time.

Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid each had 3 points in the contest, and McDavid has 9 points over 5 games (including the beautiful goal below) but it hasn't been enough and Edmonton is now in the worst place to be in, 1 loss away from their playoff dreams being finished.

But McDavid has consistenty proven himself to be a leader in addition to a playmaker, and reflected after the loss on his team's effort succinctly:
"4 goals has to be enough to win a playoff game."

While McDavid is certainly right when one considers the emphasis placed on goaltending in the NHL recently, this playoff round has been somewhat of an outlier and seen 23/36 games where the winner scored 5 goals are more!

Teams had better bring the firepower this year in the NHL playoffs because the scoring is coming fast and heavy!
