It's been a very interesting series between the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings. On paper the Edmonton Oilers look to have the better team with Connor Mcdavid and Leon Draisaitl but the Kings have a much better goaltender in Jonathan Quick.
So far neither team has been consistent, they have a good game but not so much the next. With the series tied 2-2, the teams were back in Rexall place for game five. The Oilers started off slow, letting the Kings strike early to build the lead. The Kings would keep the lead into the 3rd Period but Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl would connect to tie the game sending it to overtime.
Unfortunately for the Oilers this one didn't have a happy ending, with Kings forward Adrian Kempe scoring the winning goal just 1:12 into overtime giving the Kings a 3-2 series lead heading back to Los Angeles.
