It came out last week that Marc-Andre Fleury decided he wanted to stay in Chicago and not force his family to move again via trade. Unfortunately this may not completely be in Fleury's control as he only has a 10-team no trade clause and with the Chicago Blackhawks going into a rebuilding season, they could use every possible asset they could get at the deadline. With Fleury on the final year of a deal, it's the perfect rental situation for a contending team.

Insider Frank Seravalli believes that there is still a very good chance the Blackhawks will move Fleury ahead of the trade deadline.

My guess is if the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to go down that path and really take a swing at a goaltender, it's probably going to be someone of substance, someone you can feel confident in and hang your hat on for a playoff run
I don't think the Fleury situation is far-fetched, «The Chicago Blackhawks are in desperate need of a goaltender as well. Can you flip them back Petr Mrazek? Someone with term on his deal. They are going into full rebuild mode. If you're rebuilding, does it really matter who's in net? And if you can find a way to increase your return for Fleury by taking on Mrazek, would that help? Then that would free up the Leafs to be in a position where they could enter the summer with a blank slate, an opportunity to start over.
- said Seravalli on the Fan Morning Show

It came out already that Fleury will not accept a trade to the Washington Capitals, but there are still quite a few contending teams looking for a starting goalie.
