For the last few days, the talk of the National Hockey League has been about the Calgary Flames and Matthew Tkachuk. After the Calgary Flames filed for arbitration with Tkachuk, he told them he had no interest in re-signing with the Flames and now they are looking to deal him before his hearing with the arbitrator on August 11th.

Apparently Tkachuk is only willing to sign an extension with very few teams in the NHL so it really limits the amount of trade partners available for the Flames. While their are already limited trade partners for the Flames, it gets even more limited after learning of the asking price for this young power forward.
Tkachuk just put up over 100 points and brings an element to the game that every team seeks, so it's understandable why the Flames are asking for the stars here, but is this too much? According to a Flames insider, an offer must include three major pieces.
Flames suspected asking price for Matthew Tkachuk: "What we are hearing is that the Flames will want a top forward, a premium prospect and a first-round pick.

Our partners over at Blade of Steel put together a list of teams that have what the Flames would be looking for:
New Jersey Devils: Jesper Bratt, Alexander Holtz and a 1st
St. Louis Blues: Jordan Kyrou, Jake Neighbours and a 1st
New York Rangers: Filip Chytil, Braden Schneider and a 1st
Columbus Blue Jackets: Gustav Nyqvist, Kent Johnson and a 1st
Toronto Maple Leafs: William Nylander, Rasmus Sandin, Alexander Kerfoot and a 2nd
Ottawa Senators: Alex Formenton, Jake Sanderson and a 1st
Arizona Coyotes: Jakob Chychrun, Logan Cooley and a 2nd
Buffalo Sabres: Victor Olofsson, Peyton Krebs and a 1st
