Bruce Boudreau's future in Vancouver might be the NHL's worst kept secret. The Canucks have reportedly hired Rick Tocchet, who has already been putting together his own coaching staff. All the while Boudreau has continued to show class and respect behind the Canucks bench.
Now according to David Pagnotta, after tonight's game the Canucks will finally put Boudreau out of the job.
In the "worst kept secrets" department: All signs point to tonight being Bruce Boudreau's last game as #Canucks head coach.
A Monday press conference to officially announce the coaching change is expected, with Rick Tocchet (who arrives in Van this wknd) set to take over.
After last night's game, Canucks players shared how difficult this entire situation has been and it's not hard to believe that this will have a long reaching impact on how players view the organization going forward. Don't be surprised if players look at this treatment and opt to sign elsewhere after this beloved coach has been clearly mistreated.
The good news is, Boudreau likely won't be out of a job long as many teams have reportedly shown interest in the coach in the past.
