Blacklisted referee Tim Peel shares embarrassing info on Ref's making 'game managing' calls

Not too long ago, Tim Peel was fired by the National Hockey League for being caught on his microphone stating that he was trying to get a call against the Nashville Predators, even though there ''Wasn't much on the play.''

Fans have always assumed that referee's tried to control a game and were able to change the outcomes, but this was the first time that proof was even provided on the actions.
Peel did not take his termination lightly, and since then Peel has created his own podcast and social media accounts to try and bring light to fans.
Yesterday Peel posted a "ask me anything" question and a fan quickly asked about refs managing games:
I'll ask the obvious, are make up calls really a thing? Was it something the league instructed you to do? How do you feel about your part in this?

Which Peel responded:
That's a great question and a very fair question. Make up calls are not a thing. What happens is if we have so many penalties against one team our antennas are up to make sure we do not miss a penalty against the other team.
