The hot topic around the NHL these last 36 hours has been the controversial signing of Mitchell Miller by the Boston Bruins.
The Boston Bruins have received nothing but negative feedback after making this signing from fans, players and even Gary Bettman and the NHL.
Earlier today Bettman announced that Mitchell Miller would be ineligible to play in the National Hockey League but the NHLPA is getting involved and firing right back at commissioner Bettman and saying what he said is not correct at all:
NHLPA tells ESPN that the NHL has not informed them about any suspension to @NHLBruins Mitchell Miller or anything that would impact his eligibility. NHLPA said «there needs to be more info provided by NHL» regarding commissioner Gary Bettman's statements on Saturday.
Additionally, a source told ESPN that Mitchell Miller's contract has been registered with the NHL and that there was nothing official from the League that would have prevented the @NHLBruins or any team from signing him.
Basically what we got from Bettman's statement earlier is that Miller will not be playing in the NHL unless he approves it, but the info we just read seems to contradict that.
