According to reports Columbus Blue Jackets head coach Mike Babcock has stepped down. His new replacement has already been announced as well.
Columbus Moves Forward With Mike Babcock's Replacement
After the reports from Elliotte Friedman and others that Mike Babcock had resigned surfaced the Columbus Blue Jackets made the announcement official. At the same time they also named their new head coach.
Mike Babcock resigns as Head Coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets; club names Pascal Vincent Head Coach
Vincent served as an associate head coach for the Blue Jackets for 2 seasons before the arrival of Babcock. He was expected to serve in that same role this upcoming season. Now he will be the head man for the young Blue Jackets squad.
