You don't like hearing things like that. I have kids, I have a family. But I want to be here and wear the Note. I'm here to play hockey. I signed up to be in St. Louis for 7 years and that's what I want to do. When you hear stuff like that, there's more that goes into it than what's on the surfaceat the end of the day, I want to be here.»

Almost Shipped To Philly
Reports had previously indicated that Krug was on the verge of being traded to Philadelphia in a deal that would have seen D Travis Sanheim and F Kevin Hayes join St. Louis. Instead, the Flyers later traded Hayes to St. Louis, retaining 50% of his salary, in exchange for a 2024 6th round pick. Currently, Krug has four years left on his contract, which carries an average annual value of $6.5M.
