No team has been more affected by injuries to start this 2022-23 season than the Washington Capitals.
The team already started the season without future hall of fame center Nicklas Backstrom who had offseason hip surgery, and might be doubtful for the season.
They are also missing power forward Tom Wilson who also had offseason surgery to repair an injury he suffered in game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals against the Florida Panthers, and he isn't expected back until December.
During their shutout win to the Nashville Predators the other night, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows after their victory as they lost both TJ Oshie and John Carlson during the first period and they did not return to the game.
