BREAKING: Cale Makar has been SUSPENDED
The opening round series between the Colorado Avalanche and Seattle Kraken is currently deadlocked at 2 games apiece.
However, if the Avalanche seek to gain an advantage in the series, they will have to do so without Cale Makar. The league has disclosed that Makar will face a hearing for his hit on Jared McCann earlier today.
During the incident, McCann was slammed into the boards despite being far from the puck. Although Makar was initially assessed a major penalty, it was subsequently downgraded to a minor.
Nevertheless, the league deemed the incident serious enough to warrant a suspension.
