Yesterday the Ottawa Senators were hosting the Edmonton Oilers, and a very scary scene happened where an Ottawa Senators defenceman pushed an Oilers forward onto the Senators Goalie, who was not able to get to his feet on his own, and ended up needing to be taken off the ice on a stretcher.
If you missed it, here is the video:
The Ottawa Senators have now made the official announcement that they will not be seeing Forsberg for awhile.
GM Pierre Dorion informed media at practice this a.m. that goaltender
Anton Forsberg (right and left knee MCL) will be out indefinitely while defenceman
Jake Sanderson (UBI) will miss a minimum of the next two weeks.
Being a goaltender is very hard on your knee's to begin with, but to tear your MCL in both knees at once would have been absolutely excruciating.
Let's hope he is able to make a full recovery.
