Manson Ejected For Crosscheck to Boeser's Face
During the Vancouver Canucks and Colorado Avalanche game last night, Josh Manson was ejected for a crosscheck on Brock Boeser.
The two were going back and forth in front of the net, and Manson landed a crosscheck to Boeser's face, although, it appears that Manson was holding back and not fully trying to land a dirty crosscheck.
This is what led to the Josh Manson ejection.
The call was questioned by fans, even though it was reviewed. Many fans believe that Manson was just bringing his stick up to defend himself, and caught Boeser in the face inadvertently.
Guy is getting cross checked and puts his stick up to defend himself and gets ejected. What a joke
The Avalanche were able to get the last laugh in the game, winning 5-2 against the red-hot Vancouver Canucks.
Call Is On Borderline For Dirty Play
While the crosscheck looked to be unintentional, the NHL is taking steps to remove crosschecks to the face area and has delivered harsh punishments for the action.
Luke Hughes has gone to the Devils' locker room after a hit and crosscheck to the face by Colton.
Colton was assessed a minor penalty and five minutes and a game misconduct We will see if there will be any supplemental punishment for Manson, though it is unlikely.
