Pierre-Luc Dubois Chickens Out Of A Fight And Gets Beat Up Anyways
Last night, March 21st, 2024, LA Kings center Pierre-Luc Dubois provoked a fight with Minnesota Wild veteran Ryan Hartman, by repeatedly cross-checking him, which resulted in Dubois getting pummelled.
The Minnesota Wild and the LA Kings have an underrated rivalry brewing between the two franchises. Both teams are looking to compete for the playoffs and could wind up facing off against each other in the first round.
While down 5-0, Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman got a bit chippy with Pierre-Luc Dubois and once Hartman was ready to drop the gloves, Dubois tried to hide.
Hartman catches Dubois before the refs let them go and now chaos has ensued
As a result of the play, both Dubois and Hartman received 10-minute misconducts and were ejected.
Dubois' and Hartman's Ejections Were Just The Start
About five minutes after
Dubois and
Hartman were ejected, a full-on line-brawl broke out and 10 more players got the boot including Kings captain
Anze Kopitar.
Anže Kopitar voices his disappointment at the prospect of not being considered for the Lady Byng due to a game misconduct.
Hopefully this does not affect Kopitar's bid for the Lady Byng as he is historically one of the most clean players in all of the NHL.
