Frank Seravalli says the Jets still haven't received a Connor Hellebuyck offer that excites them, and the goalie's trade market has gone quiet.

The Winnipeg Jets are still waiting on a Connor Hellebuyck trade offer that actually gets them excited.
Frank Seravalli said as much on the Jason Gregor Show on October 1, noting that nothing the Jets have seen so far comes close to what they're looking for.
Re Connor Hellebuyck trade market: "[The Jets] haven't gotten anything even close to resembling, to my knowledge, something that makes them excited."

That's a pretty blunt update for a goalie who asked out of Winnipeg over the summer.
Hellebuyck is 33, a three-time Vezina Trophy winner, and he's currently suspended after skipping training camp.
Not exactly where anyone wanted to be heading into the season.

Why the market has cooled

Kevin Cheveldayoff has said he's searching for a deal that works for both sides, and reports have the Jets wanting a return that can help right away. That's a tough ask.
Hellebuyck also carries a full no-movement clause, which gives him a say in where he lands and shrinks the list of teams in play.
Seravalli has pointed to San Jose, Utah and Vegas as clubs that could still get involved if something takes shape.
The Sharks reportedly kicked the tires with Winnipeg last month, but nothing suggests a deal is actually being worked on.

Jets have time on their side

With Hellebuyck's $8.5 million cap hit, Winnipeg has no reason to rush or grab the best offer on the table.
Cheveldayoff has also said the door is still open for a return, so the Jets can sit tight and see if anyone blinks.
For now it comes down to patience.
Either a team shows up with a package that moves the needle, or the Jets lower their price.
Until one of those happens, this standoff keeps rolling.
