The public version of Dylan Larkin's trade list may be incomplete, and possibly wrong. TSN insider Darren Dreger says what he has been told by Detroit and Larkin's representation does not match what fans have been reading.

Dreger put it plainly.
There's been an expanded list, but what I've been told by both the team and the agent is that what is out there in the public in terms of the [teams] on the list...isn't accurate.

A List That Keeps Changing

The story has moved quickly. Larkin first handed Detroit a short list of Florida, Minnesota and Vegas, and Dallas was later reported as a fourth option.
Then came reports that the number had grown to eight clubs, and Elliotte Friedman said in late September that more teams were in play than anyone had made public. Dreger now adds a new wrinkle, suggesting even the expanded version making the rounds is off.
That matters because Larkin holds a no-movement clause, so he alone decides where he goes.
Detroit can only deal him to a team he approves, and the clubs first named lacked the cap space and assets to meet the Red Wings' asking price. A bigger list should help, but only if the right teams are on it.

What It Means for Detroit

For interim GM Shawn Horcoff, the uncertainty cuts both ways. A wider list means more bidders and more leverage.
hidden list means rival executives are guessing, and some may waste time chasing a deal Larkin would never approve.
Detroit has also reportedly wanted players who can help now instead of a futures package, which shrinks the pool even further.
audacy
Washington and Colorado were pitched as logical fits after Friedman's comments, though neither has been confirmed by Larkin's side.
Until the Red Wings or his camp clear things up, every name floating around deserves a healthy dose of skepticism.
With the season underway and Larkin still in Detroit, the real list may stay private for now, and that leaves the stalemate unresolved.
