Washington Capitals TJ Oshie recently had one of his social media accounts hacked and the hackers posted a fake cryptocurrency that scammed fans out of their money.

Yesterday, TJ Oshie had his X account compromised and the hackers created a fake cryptocurrency that fans bought being scammed out of their own money.

Here is a fan accusing Oshie of scamming him not realizing that Oshie was hacked.

[TJ Oshie] SCAMMED ME I LOST MONEY WITH OTHER PEOPLE HE LAUNCHED SOME CRYPTO THEN SOLD EVERYTHING AND DELETED THEE POST 🚨 REFUND US OR GO TO JAIL!!!!!!

HE BLOCKED ME TO AVOID THESE FACTS!!!!!!

The disgruntled user also proceeded to tag the FBI, CIA, and SEC in an effort to get their money back.

In addition to Oshie getting hacked yesterday, the official Sportsnet account was likely hacked by the same scammers.

Seems Sportsnet got the same executive X hack that's been going around

In the current day, scammers will attempt to steal innocent people's money and it is just another reminder to be cautious of deceptive identities online.
