NHL Personality thinks Alex Ovechkin needs to lose weight
This NHL personality just released a controversial statement on Alexander Ovechkin's fitness status, suggesting that he lose weight if he wants to break records.
Buccigross is a well-known NHL personality, best known for his overtime challenges that have gone viral on social media. Now, it appears he has some thoughts on Alexander Ovechkin's pursuit of breaking the all-time NHL goal record, suggesting that if he wants to get the 42 goals next season that is needed to do so, he should start by embracing fitness and losing weight.
"Time for Ovi to embrace fitness/nutrition. Drop 15-20. He's got 5 months until opening night. 3-4 pounds a month. Work on his skating. Hire a chef and trainer and go all in. Rent ice like Kucherov. Big things can happen with small improvements," Buccigross tweeted.
Ovechkin is hot on the pursuit of the all-time goal-scoring record held by the great Wayne Gretzky, a record that many thought would never be broken. The incredible feat will surely have everyone's attention next year, to the point that some are pointing out that it could actually be hurting the Washington Capitals in the long term.
Is the Ovechkin goal Chase hurting Washington's future? 👀⬇️
With the Caps being eliminated from their hopeful cinderella run this year that never materialized, fans will have the entire summer to think about their star setting a new legacy.
