This afternoon, Vegas Golden Knights head coach John Tortorella spoke to the media and responded to the $100,000 fine he received for skipping out on media after Game 6.
The Vegas Golden Knights pulled off a big win over the Anaheim Ducks in Game 6 to secure their spot in the Western Conference Finals.
After the game, fans and media were hoping to hear from John Tortorella and the Golden Knights players but instead were met by only Mitch Marner and Brett Howden who stayed for a short time at the podium.
This was seen as a disrespectful stunt by the Golden Knights led by Tortorella and as a result the team was docked a second-round draft pick and Tortorella received a massive $100,000 fine.
Now, shortly after the infamous incident, Tortorella spoke to the media and was given a chance to address the situation.

During a pre-game media availability, Tortorella was asked about the situation and given a chance to explain himself.
Instead, he referred back to the Golden Knights official statement on the matter without much more input.
Tortorella didn't comment on yesterday's fine. He pointed to the team's statement of «no comment.»
It remains unclear whether or not we will ever learn what happened on that night for the Golden Knights but regardless they will now prepare to face the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Finals.
With Tortorella's future in Vegas beyond this season unknown, it will be interesting to see if this fiasco has any impact on his long-term future as the head coach of the Golden Knights.
