Vancouver Canucks promote Henrik and Daniel Sedin into a new coaching role
A new report is confirming that the Vancouver Canucks will be turning to franchise legends Henrik and Daniel Sedin to increase their role with the organization.
The Sedin twins are two of the most iconic players in Vancouver Canucks history. Over the past couple of years they returned to the organization after retirement in an advisory role. A new report from Frank Seravalli has confirmed that the advisory role will now turn into a coaching role both with the Vancouver Canucks and their AHL affiliate the Abbotsford Canucks.
#Canucks announce Yogi vejkovsk has been promoted to assistant coach. He spent the past two seasons as the team's skills coach and has been lauded for his systems knowledge.
Henrik and Daniel Sedin also enhanced their roles to more «day-to-day» coaching in Van and Abbotsford.
It sound as though Henrik and Daniel Sedin will take over the role of Yogi Svejkovsky who was the team's primary development coach. In their careers both of the Sedin twins showed incredible offensive skills while maintaining responsibility defensively.
Every 100-point scorer in Canucks history:
 Henrik Sedin
 Pavel Bure
 Daniel Sedin
 Markus Naslund
 Alex Mogilny
 Elias Pettersson
And now, J.T. Miller. With this in mind Vancouver Canucks forwards throughout the entire organization should be excited for the opportunity to work with and learn from two of the NHL's all-time greats. It will be interesting over the 2024-25 season to see how much the impact of Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin leads to improvement at both the NHL and AHL levels.
