Canucks Nikita Zadorov insults the city of Edmonton ahead of Game 3
Yesterday Vancouver Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov spoke to the media. During his time speaking he decided to insult the entire city of Edmonton before Game 3 against the Oilers.
Nikita Zadorov has been one of the most reliable defensemen on the Vancouver Canucks this postseason. While not a flashy player he provides physicality along with good skating and defensive awareness. Before the upcoming Game 3 against the Edmonton Oilers, he also added trash-talking to his arsenal.
In an interview with the media, Nikita Zadorov was asked about the Edmonton Oilers fans. In his response, he complimented the fans for their passion but then said they are so passionate because all there is to do in Edmonton is watch hockey.
They have good fans. Die-hard fans. Pretty much nothing else to do in that city except watch hockey.
The Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers have already built up a good rivalry to this point. Now with these comments, things could be taken to a whole other level. The Edmonton Oilers come into Game 3 with momentum after an overtime-winning goal from Evan Bouchard.
Evan Bouchard called game!!!
It will be fun to see if the comments made by Nikita Zadorov provide any extra motivation to the Edmonton Oilers to defend their fans and come out with a victory in Game 3.
