The Toronto Maple Leafs are in the process of hiring a replacement for their former head coach Sheldon Keefe. Today free agent head coach Todd McLellan was seen traveling to Toronto.
The NHL offseason is a time filled with change and speculation. For the Toronto Maple Leafs that change and speculation has begun this week with their head coaching change. Less than a week after the firing of Sheldon Keefe a new candidate in Todd McLellan seems to be on his way to Toronto for an interview.

The early favorite to land the Toronto Maple Leafs head coaching job was Craig Berube. Now it seems the team is considering other options including former Los Angeles Kings head coach Todd McLellan.

If either of these coaches impress Brad Treliving and the front office in their interview process the hiring process could end quickly for the Toronto Maple Leafs. If not the process could drag out into the summer bordering on the NHL Draft.
