The Utah Hockey Club are in the Wild Card fight in the Western Conference, and now Owner Ryan Smith has made a classy move for the fans in Salt Lake City as they look to wrap up their first season as an official NHL franchise.

In their first season as a franchise, the Utah Hockey Club are battling hard, and with less than a month to go in the regular season, they're in with a shot at a Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
With the team being so new, Owner Ryan Smith wants to get as many eyes on the product as he possibly can, and now, he has made a very classy gesture to those fans old and new.
In an announcement by the owner, Smith revealed that fans can watch Utah HC+ for just $1 for the remainder of the year and even the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs if they make it that far, showing how important the fans are in Salt Lake City.
With a 30-27-11 record in the Central Division, Utah are four points back of the final Wild Card spot in the West, and with 14 games remaining and a potential post-season appearance, $1 to watch all the game is an absolute bargain, and should bring plenty of new fans to the organization.
In 2025/26, the team are set to have a new name and identity, and with plenty of popularity already, this move from the NHL is turning into a major success, and with Smith at the helm and clearly caring about the fans and their experience with the franchise, things are looking up for the Utah Hockey Club moving forward.
