The Utah Mammoth have hit the ground running in Salt Lake City, but tragically a key member of that front office has now heartbreakingly passed away.
The Utah Mammoth's arrival in the NHL has been a hit thus far, and with so much support for hockey in Salt Lake City and the wider Utah community, the future is looking incredibly bright thus far.
Somehow, the organization managed to get up and running in just a few months, and with the name Mammoth now locked in around their young core, hopes are high for the 2025/26 campaign and beyond.
A key member of the Mammoth front office loses her battle with cancer
Tragically however, the team have now announced heartbreaking news, as Caroline Klein, their Chief Communications Officer and a key piece of the front office from the moment the Mammoth became a reality has
tragically lost her battle with cancer.
According to reports, the 40-year old had been battling the cancer for quite some time, with the entire community in Utah heartbroken over the tragic circumstances surrounding her passing.
After the news of her passing broke, Utah Mammoth and Jazz owner Ryan Smith posted a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to her on his social media, showing just how much she meant to both organizations.
We take this time to send our condolences to the friends, family, coworkers of Klein and anyone that had the privilege of knowing her and working alongside her, and hope the Utah Mammoth and Jazz can pay tribute to her and the work she did for the organizations in the coming year.
Rest in Peace, Caroline Klein.
