Connor Ingram was waived by the Utah Mammoth on Thursday, and now the veteran goaltender has officially learned his fate.
This past year has been a very tough one for Utah goaltender Connor Ingram, who was placed in the NHLPA's Player Assistance Program last season to help him through some heartbreaking times.
Despite Several Rumours Linking Him to Carolina and Edmonton, Connor Ingram Has Cleared Waivers
There's plenty of teams out there looking for goaltending help, with Edmonton, Carolina and Vegas all teams that made sense to pick up the 28-year old veteran for free, but now, he's officially learned his waiver fate.
As announced by Elliotte Friedman on social media, Ingram has officially passed through waivers, and will now rejoin the Mammoth in the AHL as he represents fantastic depth behind the duo of Vejmelka and Vanacek.
Last season, Ingram tallied a 3.27 GAA and an .882 save percentage through 22 games played, and after appearing in the AHL as well, he may be set to make that his home in 2025/26 with the Tucson Roadrunners.
At 28-years of age, Ingram is still an immense talent, and while he's likely never going to be a starter in the NHL, as a depth player he's no doubt a very solid option, and if injuries were to strike in net around the league, then he represents a very solid trade piece for the Mammoth.
For now though, he's passed waivers and is set to join the AHL as he looks to find out what the future holds for him in the National Hockey League.
