The Toronto Maple Leafs are on track to miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season and now William Nylander has discussed what went wrong.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been a perennial contender in the Eastern Conference since they drafted Auston Matthews in 2016.
However, this season, everything that could go wrong for the Maple Leafs has leading to an embarrassing season in Toronto.
Tonight, in a new interview, William Nylander pulled back the curtain a bit to discuss what went wrong and caused controversy while doing so.

During a recent interview, Nylander was asked if he had any explanation for what went wrong this season.
Instead of giving a straight up answer Nylander remain cryptic saying he knows what he would change but wants to keep those thoughts private.
I have some thoughts on maybe some stuff but that’s something I’m going to keep to myself.
While Nylander is just trying to be respectful of the organization he has caused a major media fire as speculation has run rampant.
Many want to blame Brad Treliving while others believe Craig Berube is at fault leading to debate over Nylander’s comments.
The Maple Leafs are expected to make organizational changes this summer and one has to wonder if Nylander behind closed doors will have a say in who stays and who goes.
