Three talented wingers were linked to the Toronto Maple Leafs in trade talks, according to David Pagnotta, and it looks like Toronto's front office is leaving no stone unturned.

Maple Leafs' general manager Brad Treliving has a clear mission this offseason: find the perfect running mate for Auston Matthews. With Mitch Marner leaving for Vegas in free agency, the Leafs suddenly have a huge hole on the right side.
They've made some solid moves already by bringing in Matias Maccelli, who projects to slide in next to John Tavares and William Nylander, but it's obvious the roster still needs one more player to pair with Matthews on the top line.
According to The Fourth Period's David Pagnotta, Toronto's front office is actively looking to make a move on the trade market:
"Also on the Leafs, they will continue to peruse the trade market for a top-six winger, preferably someone who can slot on the right side of Auston Matthews."

Pagnotta listed Bryan Rust, Jared McCann and Jordan Kyrou as potential targets.
Here's what he had to say about them:
On Rust:
"Rust has three years left on his contract and will see his full no-movement clause expire at the end of June 30, leaving him without any no-trade protection.

There is already plenty of interest out there and with Pittsburgh in sell mode, he could be had but will command a high package if the Penguins part with him."

On Kyrou:
"Kyrou's name first popped up during the season, ahead of the trade deadline, but it would take a significant trade in order for the Blues to pull the trigger. His no-movement clause kicked in July 1, and while a move seems unlikely now, that hasn't stopped teams in the past."

On McCann:
"With two more years left on his contract, McCann is an attractive add for teams looking to add more scoring punch to their lineup. He has a 10-team no-trade list and has some say in where he winds up, if the Kraken decide to trade him."
These three players have the skills to play alongside top players like Matthews, but Treliving will need to get creative if he wants to acquire any of them on the trade market.
The Leafs already traded two of the team's top prospects at the last deadline. Unless the team plans on bringing in Easton Cowan and trying him on the first line, acquiring a player ahead of training camp will be crucial for Treliving.
