Nazem Kadri's name has been circulating in trade speculation as of late, but according to a top insider, the Flames aren't looking to trade him anytime soon.

In three full seasons with the Calgary Flames, Nazem Kadri has been absolutely fantastic, becoming a key veteran on a team that was in the Stanley Cup Playoffs hunt a season ago.
In those three years, Kadri has yet to miss a game, tallying 88 goals and 198 points in 246 games in that time, and unsurprisingly, that consistent effort at both ends of the ice has him drawing trade attention as the summer rolls on.
Over the past week, chatter has picked up about a potential reunion with his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs, and while it's unlikely that Calgary are willing to do business with Brad Treliving, if Kadri was open to a move, the possibility could be there.
Now, insider Darren Dreger has the latest update on this situation, emphatically stating that as of right now, the veteran centre simply isn't available to be had via trade.
Dreger would go on to clarify that if Calgary struggle out of the gates early in 2025/26, the 34-year old veteran could look to change his mind, but as of right now, he has full control over his future, meaning that he won't be going anywhere this summer.
Many within Calgary believe that could change, especially with the team set to struggle again as they look for high end, elite level talent in the NHL Draft, but if the veteran were to see out the entirety of his seven-year, $49 million with the Flames, nobody would be surprised at that either.
