Three Maple Leafs Games Rescheduled Due to Blue Jays World Series Bid

Toronto sports has been on fire as of late, and while the Toronto Maple Leafs are just beginning their new season, the Blue Jays have just punched their ticket to the World Series for the first time since 1993.

It's a story that's swept all across Canada, with reactions during hockey games going viral on social media, but given the relationship between the Jays and the Leafs, it's no surprise that players have paid homage to each other during this trip.

According to reporter David Alter, there has been talks between the Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Sabres about potentially moving up their clash on Saturday from 7ET to 5ET, making sure that there are no clashes with Game 1 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While this isn't something that happens often, when one sports city has so much going on, it would likely benefit the NHL to keep some eyes on the Maple Leafs game, so moving things up would make perfect sense for Gary Bettman.

We've seen it before too, with teams sometimes moving their games to avoid clashes with other events in their city, but to move it up two hours is a big change, with the Leafs likely needing approval from the league and the Sabres.

Hopefully for those Toronto fans that are going on this current wild ride, a change is able to be made so fans can watch their Maple Leafs and Blue Jays, and with Game 1 slated for Saturday, we'll likely know at least a day or two in advance if there is going to be an official change.
