Recently Tyler Bertuzzi has struck a rut of adversity and is looking to get out of it tonight. Head coach Sheldon Keefe has provided the latest on the Toronto Maple Leafs' gritty forward.
Sheldon Keefe: "This will be Bert's call. If he feels he's ready to go, he'll be in. Right now he's not loving how he's feeling"
Tyler Bertuzzi's Roller Coaster First Season With The Maple Leafs
Since signing as a UFA this past offseason, Bertuzzi has been a solid fit. His offensive metrics are not the greatest with only 15 goals and 34 points through 67 games but he has not had a consistent linemate for most of the season.
Bertuzzi has been slotted on the first line alongside Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner and also on the third line with players like Calle Jarnkrok and Max Domi. He does play a style that will thrive in the playoffs and if given the right opportunity, he could be one of the Maple Leafs' best players.
