Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi, who was recently made a healthy scratch by head coach Craig Berube, refused to talk about the lineup decision when asked by a team reporter.

The Toronto Maple Leafs sent a message of tough love to forward Max Domi earlier this week when they made him a healthy scratch for their game against the Washington Capitals.
It was the first time that Domi, the son of beloved former Maple Leafs forward Tie Domi, was made a scratch since putting on a Toronto sweater.
Domi returned to the Maple Leafs lineup on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Penguins, a 7-2 Leafs win, and had two assists.
But he was not interested in talking about being made a healthy scratch earlier in the week and only wants to focus on what's ahead.
Not going to answer anything about that. That's behind us now. So we'll focus on the win tonight. It was huge. And I'll go from there.
So far this year, which is his third with Toronto, Domi has eight points (3G, 5A) in 24 games played.

Max Domi Was Recently Described As "Too Inconsistent" By Craig Berube

Not long after it was revealed that Domi would be a healthy scratch, Craig Berube explained that even though he does good things at times, it's not often enough.
It's just getting engaged more in the game. He's got to get dirty down low in the O-zone, win battles, get more engaged that way, and get to the inside of the ice more... When he's skating and moving, he's an effective player. But it's too inconsistent.

The Maple Leafs are going to need more out of Domi if they are going to course correct and get back in the thick of things in the Atlantic Division. Right now, the Leafs are in a very unfamiliar spot in the second to last place in the Atlantic, ahead of only the Buffalo Sabres.
